V3S主要用于视频监控、记录和分析。是一款无风扇、坚固耐用的车载NVR系统，具有下一代Intel®x86 SoC、丰富的I/O功能和环保耐用性，高度适用于智能总线监控。
V3S具有新一代14纳米Intel®Atom™x7-E3950 SoC(formerly Apollo Lake)。该处理器耗电量低，并为满足上一代Atom™处理器的车辆计算需求提供性能升级。
v3拥有丰富的I/O外设连接，包括2个串口，2个DVI-D、USB和数字I/O视频输出端口，6个RJ-45端口(4个带PoE或2个带PoE+)和可拆卸的SATA存储槽。为了实现无线网络连接，V3S提供2个mini pcie插槽，可插拔双SIM插槽，支持3G/4G/LTE蜂窝通信。此外，紧凑型系统还提供了一个CAN总线选项，以解决驾驶行为分析的问题。
V3S符合E13标准，并通过了MIL-STD-810G抗冲击和抗振动认证，以确保在非平坦表面上运行时的正常操作。当安装在汽车内部时，温度是另一个需要考虑的问题。因此，V3S支持较宽的温度范围（-40°C到70°C）。
